In June Konami explained to Gamereactor that it took around one or two days to implement a 3D-scanned player into Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, whereas it takes around five to 10 days to do so by manual 3D modeling and texturing. We've now received some examples of the latter, including players from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and more, who have to be manually modeled due to the fact their teams haven't signed special license deals with Konami, nor are they part of fully licensed teams for the game.

These new faces, James Rodríguez and David Alaba (Bayern Munich); Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale (Real Madrid); and Tiémoué Bakayoko (Chelsea), will have their real names despite the lack of licensing deals, since they're FIFPro members, and as you can tell they look authentic.

A few days back, during the American stops for the PES 2018 World Tour, new faces from the continent were also unveiled, combining both 3D-scanned and manual works. The picture below includes Emanuel Mas, Leo Messi, Paulo Dybala, Nahul Guzman, and Lucas Pratto from Argentina, for example.

In terms of the American tour, the PES 2018 bus had its last stop just yesterday in Peru, after traveling through Argentina, Chile, Brazil, and Mexico. News is Alianza Lima and Sporting Cristal will represent licensed Peru teams in the game, and same goes for Club Atlético Nacional and Millonarios from Colombia.

Is this the best PES has looked?
