The second season of Fortnite: Battle Royale will come to a close tomorrow, so many players have obviously been asking about the third season for a while already. Now we can tell you that Epic has finally revealed the first details about what awaits.

Season three's Battle Pass will be space-themed, so it's rather fitting that Epic has decided to take their loot system to new heights by adding thirty new tiers to it. Sounds like we'll have to play a lot more to get the real goodies, doesn't it? Fear not. Epic is introducing two new things that will make completing this Battle Pass take as much time as season two's incarnation. The first is a Battle Pass bundle that unlocks the first 25 tiers with a 40% discount. This will cost you 2800 V-Bucks, so we're guessing many of you will go with option B; weekly challenges.

That's right. The daily challenges from season two are now being replaced with weekly challenges. Seven new challenges will unlock each week, but we'll only have to complete four of them to unlock the rewards. This means that it's possible to focus on challenges that suit our playstyle. A nice change from season two challenges that once in a while made us try stuff we usually wouldn't. These challenges are also stackable, so don't worry about getting the Battle Pass a bit late etc.

You don't have to start playing to get some extra goodies if you buy the new Battle Pass; buying it will instantly unlock the new Mission Specialist outfit and a few other yet-to-be-revealed cosmetic items. Then it's time to hunt for the other new skydiving trails, banners, emoticons, outfits and everything else that can be obtained in the third season.

What do you think of the theme and changes to the third season?
