A new survey, pictures of which you can see below, has revealed some interesting details that may well be central to the upcoming game in Bioware's sci-fi RPG series, Mass Effect: Andromeda.

The three slides, which surfaced via Neogaf, outline the scenario that players will most likely be exploring when Andromeda lands on PC, PS4 and Xbox One early next year.

The description of the game confirms that humanity are heading out to "explore a planet-dense but seamless open-world galaxy, rich with discovery" where we are the aliens. We'll be battling with "a deadly indigenous race bent on stopping us" as we "fight for a new home in hostile territory."

It's also stated that we'll be leading "a squad of military-trained explorers" and there'll be "deep progression and customisation systems."

Of course, EA has thrown in an element of doubt to keep us on our toes, highlighting that this is "a possible future version of Mass Effect", which of course means we need to give you the obligatory 'take it with a pinch of salt' warning.

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"There's enough of the series' DNA in there that fans will find this a worthwhile adventure."
